Canadians, if your summer plans consist of euro-maxing, don’t be surprised if you spot a familiar face enjoying an Aperol Spritz in a sun-drenched Italian piazza.
According to Us Weekly, ex-prime minister and current girlfriend guy Justin Trudeau is expected to visit his darling pop star Katy Perry overseas as she headlines a string of music festivals across Europe throughout July.
The couple, who first sparked romance rumours last July (and are now quietly approaching an unofficial anniversary), appear to have settled into the rhythm of long-distance dating.
“They’re used to travel. They’re going back and forth all the time. It’s just part of the rotation of their lives,” a close source told Us Weekly.
For Perry, that rotation includes headlining shows across Europe. For Trudeau? The complete front-row experience.
While July may be all about festival hopping, the report suggests August could bring the love birds back to Canada, with Perry expected to spend time in Montreal alongside Trudeau and his children.
It's a far cry from Parliament Hill, but Trudeau is clearly living out his "The Idea of You" fantasy.
