Pop star Katy Perry says Canada’s former PM Justin Trudeau is the "love of her life." The Teenage Dream singer spilled the love beans during a Q&A session after a showing of her new concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris, which premiered on Monday night at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC.
“I am very in love,” she told the New York City crowd, sharing that she’s “met the love of [her] life.”
The 41-year-old mother of one went on to describe the couple’s dynamic as "grounding."
"I'm a little bit like a rainbow kite," Perry said. "I fly super high and like, you know, touch the veil, cosmos, and sometimes I need to be anchored. So, to have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole now.”
The premiere of Perry's concert film at the film festival also marked the couple's red carpet debut. Perry wore a white gown with rose detailing and Trudeau kept it classic-but-casual in a sharp black suit and white tuxedo shirt sans bow tie.
Perry wasn't the only one talking up the romance on Monday night, however. Trudeau did his part, too, telling an Entertainment Tonight reporter that he’d seen Perry’s Paris show “three times” and only had eyes for Katy each time.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the show now for the first time," he said, laughing.
The pop star and the former PM were first pictured together in July 2025 and they haven't been shy about sharing glimpses of their romance ever since. Over the past year, they’ve documented many of their globe-trotting romantic adventures on Perry’s Instagram for her nearly 200 million followers. In the past few months alone, Perry’s fans have been privy to the couple’s rocking out at Coachella, skiing in Montana (with none other than Prince Harry and Olympian Eileen Gu) and even date-night exchanges of their biological ages.
There are even rumours the pair may be sharing living space in the near future, with some reports that the former PM is hoping Perry will spend part of the year with him in his new $3.1 million Montreal home.
Will Perry pack up for la belle province? We'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, we'll keep our eyes peeled on her Insta for clues.
