Another day, another photo of a loved-up Katy Perry and former PM Justin Trudeau is making the rounds online. It’s the third time in two weeks that the singer has included a snap with Trudeau on her Instagram page.
Previous photos have been of the singer and Trudeau displaying their “biological ages” and solo shots of Trudeau mugging for the camera.
In Tuesday’s carousel of photos, the Teenage Dream singer and former PM are pictured smiling together. Both are dressed in black formal wear. Perry is in a strapless black cocktail dress, and Trudeau is wearing a black suit jacket and black T-shirt.
Eagle-eyed Instagram followers of the couple’s romance may recognize their outfits from a similar shot of both, which not only appeared in a recent photo dump by Perry but that also featured in a viral carousel recently posted by Olympic freestyle skier Eileen Gu. (Gu not only posted a shot of herself on a ski lift with Trudeau and Prince Harry last week, but another one of herself with Trudeau and Perry outdoors.)
Perry captioned the carousel: Never knew karma could be so rewarding and chose her song, "Legendary Lovers" from her Prism album, as the soundtrack to the scroll fest.
The song selection has some fans wondering if Perry is hyping her own romance with the 54-year-old Trudeau as one that qualifies for legendary status.
The duo, who were first reported dating last summer, may not yet have attained Antony and Cleopatra status quite yet—but there's no doubt that their Instagram game is going strong.
More importantly, the romance appears to have the approval of Trudeau's teenage son, Xavier.
"She's super down to earth. She's great," Xavier, 18, said during a recent podcast appearance. "I think that my dad's happy, so that's important."
