Bonjour, pardon and... say merci to Céline Dion for her return to music.
Canada’s beloved Queen of Power Ballads released a new French-single titled Bonjour, Pardon, Merci, marking her second release of the year and another step in her unfolding return to music.
Written by French-Lebanese singer-songwriter Ycare and composed by Renaud Rebillaud, the track leans into the beauty of resilience and gratitude.
Ycare says the song was inspired by the Hawaiian practice of Ho’oponopono—a spiritual ritual centred on the phrases “sorry,” “thank you” and “I love you.” It’s a framework he translates into a sweeping ballad about healing through life’s tribulations.
The track arrives as Dion continues her comeback, following her 2022 diagnosis with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition that forced her to pause touring plans, despite her surprise appearance at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony.
The single will be released as part of a limited-edition 12-inch vinyl EP alongside her earlier 2026 track Dansons, set for release on September 4.
Dion’s return to the stage is also taking shape, with a residency at Paris’s La Défense Arena scheduled for the fall and additional shows expected in 2027.
She’s all coming back to us now.
