After years of watching the Hamptons serve up rosé-fuelled feuds and binge-worthy drama, Summer House is officially headed north.

Hayu, a reality TV streaming service, recently announced Summer House Canada, the now Emmy-nominated series’ first international adaptation, with production already underway in Muskoka.

Following the original format, the dockside spin-off will see a group of friends spend their weekends together at a shared waterfront cottage, where careers, relationships and personal lives will inevitably collide. Because, as Summer House alum Kyle Cooke famously said, “summer 👏 should 👏 be 👏 fun 👏.”

Summer House has become a beloved global franchise known for its authentic friendships and the unforgettable moments that come from spending a summer together,” said Erin Haskett, president and executive producer at Lark Productions, in a press release. “We’re excited to bring the Canadian summer experience to fans worldwide.“

The Canadian cast has yet to be announced, but we expect plenty of big personalities—and at least one person who will insist they came to the cottage to “escape” the drama. Unfortunately, Summer House casts have a tendency to be... activated.

Summer House Canada is expected to premiere on Hayu in 2027.
