Thirty, flirty and thriving is making a comeback.

We may not be 30 or always flirty, but we are absolutely thriving over this news: our favourite early-2000s coming-of-age rom-com starring Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo is getting a Netflix reboot—and yes, our Poise magazine dreams are back.

For every ’90s and ’00s girl who dreamed of working at a magazine (myself included), owning a closet full of playful prints and flashy dresses or falling for their childhood best friend, 13 Going on 30 wasn’t just a movie—it was the blueprint.

And as someone who can quote this movie line for line, I have a bit too many questions. Here's everything we know so far about the 13 Going on 30 reboot.

Jennifer Garner is back

The reboot is officially in production, and the nostalgia levels are already through the roof. Jennifer Garner, who played the iconic Jenna Rink in the original 2004 film, is returning as an executive producer.

But that’s not all: set photos published Tuesday by Just Jared show Garner reunited with Judy Greer, who played Jenna’s frenemy Lucy “Tom-Tom” Wyman. The pair were spotted filming in Santa Monica, dressed as what we can only hope are their iconic characters once again.

Back in April, Garner explained to Variety why she was finally open to revisiting the beloved film after more than two decades.

The Canadian icon continues her comeback with a new reflective French single.

“It’s the first of many, many times that someone has brought [a reboot] up to me, so it started to feel like—I don’t want it to happen without me participating. Jenna is so close to me,“ she told the publication.

Garner also revealed the film has inspired other projects over the years, including a stage musical headed to Toronto. (A little Canadian shoutout never hurts.)

Meet the new cast

Emily Bader (People We Meet on Vacation) and Logan Lerman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) will lead the reboot, though their exact roles have yet to be revealed. The cast is also set to include Jessica Alba, Taylor Ortega, Tim Meadows, Dan Bucatinsky, Nasim Pedrad, Owen Thiele and Supriya Ganesh.

Behind the camera, Brett Haley will direct the reimagining, bringing a fresh perspective to the story that made audiences fall in love with beloved Jenna, Matt and the daunting magic of growing up.

We (also) like your dress, Miss Rink

We're still daydreaming about Jenna's unforgettable wardrobe—especially the rainbow-striped frock she wears during the film’s Thriller flash mob scene. The minidress, a vintage Versace piece from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2003 collection, quickly became one of the most recognizable rom-com fashion moments of the Y2K era.

But there’s one heartbreaking twist: the original Versace dress is reportedly missing.

While we may never see the exact piece again, we’re hoping the reboot understands the assignment and delivers another dance-worthy fashion moment.

When does the reboot come out?

Netflix hasn’t yet announced an official release date. With production still underway, fans will have to wait a little longer before we know when we can stream our way back into the 13 Going on 30 universe.

Until then, we’ll just be over here preparing with a glass of water, an emotional support fluffy pillow and a rewatch of the original.
