Lisa Vanderpump, grocery-store florist?

That’s right: The restaurateur/reality TV star who brought you Scandoval and the enduring menace that is Jax Taylor is now poised to meet all your last-minute bouquet needs with a grocery-store–ready line of florals now available in Canada.

The Vanderpump Rules honcho and former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills recently announced—on Loblaws’ socials, no less—that she’s bringing her Vanderpump Blooms collection to Loblaws, Zehrs and Independent grocery stores across the country.

“I am so excited to be bringing my flowers to Canada,” she announced via a short video clip, which appears to be filmed in her pink-accented kitchen at her L.A. home, Villa Rosa.

Launched this month, her bouquets are now available in-store and online for pick-up orders.

Right now, you can choose from three options that range from a $37 “English Garden” bouquet (think pink roses, chrysanthemums, gerbera daisies) to the $50 “Diamond Vase” arrangement (same mix of florals largely with additional greenery, but with a bit more panache and in a vase).

I made a quick call to an Ottawa-area Loblaws, and it sounds like the same limited selection is on offer in-store as well as available to order for store pick-up, depending on availability.

Floral fans may be slightly underwhelmed by the overall look of the bouquets, which deliver pretty straightforward grocery-store fare with few enticing grace notes or points of interest. The only LVP brand-defining element of the flowers seems to be the colour palette: each offering seems to show a strong preference for Vanderpump’s passion for various shades of pink.

Lack of floral creativity notwithstanding, there’s a lot to be said for being able to pick up a solid bloom base for under $40 in a pinch. And never let it be said that LVP doesn’t have a knack for knowing what the people want.
