Grilled Cheese With Tomato Jam

Chatelaine Triple Tested

A gourmet upgrade to that always-delicious combo of grilled cheese and ketchup.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp tomato jam, (see recipe link below)

  • 2 slices bread

  • 1/3 cup grated cheddar

  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • SPREAD tomato jam on 1 slice of bread. Layer with cheddar. Sandwich with another slice of bread and spread butter on the outside of each side. Cook in a heavy frying pan over medium-low, flipping once, until sandwich is golden brown and cheese melts, 3 to 5 min.
