12 days of fitness: Day 5 concentrates on stretching

One the fifth day of our 12-day fitness challenge, celebrity trainer Ramona Braganza shows us her favourite stretches to warm up with

The focus for the fifth day of the 12 Days of Fitness is on pre-workout stretching and warm ups. It's important to do some dynamic stretches prior to completing your daily 10-minute workouts, to get your body and muscles ready to take on the cardio, circuit and core moves. Dynamic stretches are a series of repeated motions that prep the body for performance (ideal for pre-workout), while static stretches are held for up to 30 seconds in order to improve flexibility (good for post-workout). Try some of the dynamic stretches Ramona highlights in the video, above, before completing your Day 5 workout, on the chart below.
