These succulent candied nuggets are perfect for topping a salad or serving alongside rice with a green vegetable.
2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp pepper
454 g skinless salmon fillet, cut into 1-in. cubes
Stir maple syrup with oil, soy, cayenne, garlic powder and pepper in a medium bowl. Add salmon and toss to coat evenly. Marinate for 10 to 15 min.
Preheat air fryer to 400F for 3 min.
Arrange salmon cubes in a single layer in air fryer basket, folding thinner pieces in half for even thickness. Reserve leftover marinade for basting.
Cook for 3 min, then spoon marinade over salmon. Continue cooking until salmon is cooked through and lightly crispy on the outside, 2 to 3 more min.
Kitchen tip You can also use skin-on salmon for this recipe, but make sure to air fry it with the skin-side up to get it crispy.
