Your Weekly Horoscope: October 9-15, 2024

Practice being curious in the presence of uncertainty instead of rushing to find answers to questions you don’t fully understand.

Libra

Sept. 23-Oct. 22

You are likely to be feeling pretty awkward this week as you navigate through some sticky interpersonal dynamics. Resist the urge to smooth things over if doing so would require you to be disingenuous. It’s perfectly natural to want to avoid conflict and discord, but sometimes that’s exactly what’s needed to clear the air. Prioritize being empathetically honest over social niceties, Libra.

Scorpio

Oct. 23-Nov. 21

It’s really hard to let go of control and stay open at the same time, but that’s your assignment. If you know who you are and you are unwilling to abandon your truest needs and nature, then you can stand to sit in discomfort, explore the unknown, and let go of certain comforts. Strive to stay aligned instead of staying in control this week, Scorpio.

Sagittarius

Nov. 22-Dec. 21

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is nothing. This week, it would be wise for you to slow down and give yourself a chance to rest and catch up with all of the progress you’ve made. Nurture your mind and body as you integrate some of the developments that have happened over the past several weeks. True rest without distractions creates space for innovation and creativity to spark—let it, Sagittarius.

Capricorn

Dec. 22-Jan. 19

When you’re insecure or hurting is when you’re most likely to act out or shut down, but the thing you truly need in those situations is a little TLC. Don’t fight your feelings; instead, strive to be honest about them and cope with them head-on so that you don’t get stuck in the worst parts of them. Show up for yourself like you would for any beloved friend, Capricorn.

Aquarius

Jan. 20-Feb. 18

This week, it’s important that you honour your emotions, no matter how awkward or uncomfortable that may be. You are going through big changes and they require an open heart, Aquarius. While that sounds simple on its face, the truth is that it may complicate things as what your head says is the best approach may not work well for your heart. You don’t need to be perfect, it’s just time to acknowledge and honour how you feel.

Pisces

Feb. 19-March 20

Being worried about how things will turn out is perfectly natural. If those fears overwhelm your thinking, then it’s not at all helpful. This week is a good one to cultivate patience, Pisces. Even if it’s challenging, maybe even especially if it’s challenging, stay present with what you know in the here and now. Let go of trying to control the future and just focus on the present.

Aries

March 21-April 19

It is really hard for you to let people and situations develop in their own way and at their own pace, but that’s exactly what you should be doing this week. If you try to press others to think what you think or feel what you feel, you are likely to end up cultivating power struggles that hurt more than they help. Even if you know a better way, let people do it their way, my fiery friend.

Taurus

April 20-May 20

As you go through some pretty intense emotional and psychological shifts this week, it’s wise for you to centre your self-care and tap into the resources you have available to you for support. It’s not a great idea, however, to try to “fix” your problems or start something new. Do your best to get aligned with your values so that it becomes absolutely clear what’s in alignment for you and what’s not.

Gemini

May 21-June 21

This is an excellent one for you to put yourself out there and make things happen. Be bold, Gemini! Just make sure that you keep an eye on your ego so that it doesn’t drive you. You’ve got nothing to prove and there is room for your successes to occur alongside other peoples’. True power and leadership require emotional intelligence and generosity—strive to embody both this week.

This week may find you nursing your feelings as you process a loss or disappointment that is hard to bear. This is a good time to be curious about whether you got what you needed, even if you didn’t get what you wanted. Look for the positive even with your biggest struggles at this time, Moonchild. Not only will it help you to feel better, it will also empower you to see your agency in your situation and the options you have in the here and now.

Leo

July 23-Aug. 22

If you find yourself obsessing or fixating on things that stress you out, or you are simply burnt out and overwhelmed this week, the best thing that you can do is nothing. If you add more things to your plate or more ideas for your consideration, you’re likely to just be doubling down on your struggles and exhaustion. Allow yourself to rest and recalibrate when you need it, Leo.

Virgo

Aug. 23-Sept. 22

It’s hard to have access to your intuition or inner spark when you’re allowing your ego to drive you. This week, it’s important to track your own reaction to uncertainty and insecurity. It’s hard to stay with those feelings, but if you ride roughshod over them you’re likely to feel even worse. Practice being curious in the presence of uncertainty instead of rushing to find answers to questions you don’t fully understand, Virgo.
