under-fire

Well this weekend, we put our house on the market. I could hardly see the paperwork between my tears. But things turned in a direction we couldn't have expected, in a very short period of time.

The long awaited day has come — I have a release date. It's official. In just six short months.

Today, March 8th, is International Women's Day and I find myself celebrating all the wonderful achievements women have made over the years. And of course, being a woman in the forces, I can't help but reflect on the way the military has changed as well.

Mark and I have been getting our home ready for sale. But we're getting on each other's nerves and things are getting a bit tense during moving prep.

With my short career in the military ending, I find myself wondering if I've contributed anything worthwhile, especially considering all my dreams when I started out.
