Homemade Shamrock Shake Homemade Shamrock Shake

In honour of St. Paddy's Day, we recreated the classic minty milkshake from our childhood using a few pantry staples and good quality ice cream. So if you don't feel like sipping on stout or a pint of green beer, you can whip up an easy, festive treat for the whole family to enjoy. (And dare we say it – we like it even better than the original!)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups good-quality vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup 1% milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • green food colouring (optional)

Instructions

  • WHISK all ingredients together in a large bowl, or use a blender. Serve in parfait glasses and garnish with mint leaf 'clovers'.

Serves 2 to 3
