Your next cooking club challenge is Guinness fudge cake!

Our St. Patrick’s Day special is dense and rich, with the slightest undertone of stout. Get an early start on your celebrations, and bake up our decadent and rich chocolate cake.

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, so this week our challenge takes inspiration from our friends across the pond. With the darkly flavourful addition of Guinness, everyone's going to want a slice of this festive cake!

Believe it or not, beer does amazing things for cake. And our St. Patrick’s Day special is dense and rich, with the slightest undertone of stout. Get an early start on your celebrations, and bake up one of these two versions: our anniversary edition with cloud icing, or our traditional layer cake.

But wait, there’s more. Now the Chatelaine Cooking Club comes with prizing! The winner with the best photo, as chosen by our kitchen, will win two great cookbooks! Grain Power, by Patricia Green and Carolyn Hemming (featured in our March issue), and a copy of the Thrive Energy Cookbook by Brendan Brazier. Yay!
