2 strip loin steaks, 250 to 300 g each and 1/2 to 3/4-in. thick
1 1/2 tsp instant coffee granules
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsp cumin
Bring steaks to room temperature. Lightly oil grill and heat barbecue to medium-high. In a bowl, stir coffee granules with salt, pepper and cumin. Sprinkle over both sides of steaks and rub in. Place on grill. Barbecue uncovered, 4 to 6 minutes per side for medium-rare. Delightful with mashed potatoes, corn on the cob and tangy coleslaw.
