These festive cheese balls can be prepared in advance and served on a cracker.

Ingredients

  • 140 g fresh goat cheese

  • 125 g cream cheese

  • Freshly ground black pepper

To garnish

  • ⅓ cup cranberries, chopped

  • ⅓ cup pecans, chopped

  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 15 small round crackers, for serving

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix the cheeses and season generously with pepper.

  • Using your palms, form 15 balls, each containing about one tbsp of the cheese mixture. Set aside in a cool place while you prepare the garnish.

  • To prepare the garnish: finely chop the cranberries, pecans, and parsley. Place them in a bowl, add the lemon zest and mix well.

  • Roll each ball in the garnish, one at a time, pressing lightly to coat the bite. Keep the balls in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

  • When ready to serve, place each ball on a small cracker.
