Three inspiring paint trends for spring

Update your home with these dramatic colour combos
Three inspiring paint trends for spring

1. Black is back
Black may seem goth but it’s dramatic and totally au courant. Try glossy black baseboards or turn a home office or mudroom wall into a mega-message board with inky chalkboard paint. If you’re timid, try black in a hallway or choose dark-grey slate instead.

2. Bring nature in
Boring beige and white are taking a backseat to daring options like yellow-based greens — a mid-century modern classic — that are uplifting and fresh.

3. Accent it
Accent walls are enjoying a revival but keep it sophisticated and choose accent shades that have some black or brown in them for depth.
