It Only Takes...

A red piece of clothing and a small donation – to take part in the Heart and Stroke Foundation's Dress Red for Heart event throughout February.

A bike – to join in Trillium Health Centre's annual Bike 4 Betty ride. This year's ride is raising money for a new CT scanner.

A booklet of stamps – to help the Canada Post Foundation for Mental Health. A dollar from each sale goes to the organization.

A phone – to call the AVON pink line, which adds a $2 charge to your phone bill that goes directly to breast-cancer research. To date, AVON has donated more than $15 million to breast-cancer research in Canada.

The cost of dinner out ($40) – to contribute to the Toxic Free Canada Society's campaign to make all Canadian schools toxin-free.

Five km - to participate in Ovarian Cancer Canada's annual Winners Walk of Hope, which raises more than $1 million for ovarian-cancer research every year.
