1. Stack them

If you don’t have a lot of room inside drawers, stackable trays are a greatway to double your space. Pick clear acrylic so it’seasy to spot every piece.

2. Display them

A small statuette — or a wide branch in a vase (weighed down with sand) — shows off often-worn necklaces and braceletsand keeps them within easy reach. You can see all your necklaces at once, which makes accessorizing a cinch.

4. Divide them

A cubbie organizer intended for socks or lingerie is a perfect place to store larger costume jewellery and chunky beads. Your pieces are easy to find and easy to store and, best of all, they don’t get tangled up.

6. Line them up

We turned a cutlery-sorting tray into a high-end jewellery box by lining the bottom with velvet, then adding a custom ring keeper. To make it, we cut a wooden dowel to the length of the inside of the tray, then covered it with velvet, using fabric glue. It easily slips in and out of place and keeps precious rings safe and easy to find.

7. Dangle them

Use a hanger bolt to fasten drawer pulls to a wall. They make a handy place to hanglong necklaces or beaded bracelets.

8. Frame them

Take the glass out of a frame and replace it with a custom-cut piece of screening (from the hardware store) that’s stapled into place on the back of the mat. It’s a great place to show off your earrings.

Get this look: Ribb a frame, $7, Ikea.ca. Aluminum screening, $18 (forapproximately eight feet of 36-inch-widescreening), Homedepot.ca.
