Last night I joined Olympian Paula Findlay at Nike Toronto for the launch of the newest addition to the Nike FlyKnit family, FlyKnit Lunar1+.

Things got pretty steamy -- literally -- when the brightly coloured knit shoes were steam-fit to my feet. After 30 seconds of heating in a special machine, I slipped on my toasty new kicks and watched them take on the unique contours of my feet (curving around bunions and all!).

The adaptive technology eliminates the need for bulky seams and any other potential blister-causing sources, making these shoes appear weightless (seriously, it felt like I was walking on a cloud).

The cool knit fabric lends an especially breathable, yet supportive feel, and the custom steam contouring makes them tailor-fit to your individual running needs. In fact, they were so comfortable it was hard to slip them off once I got home. I loved the warm and cozy feel of FlyKnit’s steam-fit on such a chilly night almost as much as taking a short two kilometre run with Paula around the city. She’s a rock star, and so are these shoes!
