Love savoury snacks? Brazilian researchers have revealed an easy way for you to banish salt cravings without increasing your sodium intake: Add a dash of oregano.

The study showed that bread seasoned with oregano satisfied the salt cravings of people with high blood pressure more than loaves with a higher salt content did.

Try seasoning with herbs instead of salt and see if you notice a difference. Remember to aim for no more than 1,500 mg of sodium a day (less than a teaspoon of salt).
