Tim Hortons just launched a sweet new collaboration featuring Biscoff, the spiced, caramel-y Belgian biscuit—and let’s just say we've found our new favourite Tim’s treat.
Biscoff, for the unfamiliar, is a speculoos cookie that has been made by family-owned Lotus Bakeries since 1932. The biscuit’s worldwide popularity has led to various spinoffs, including a sandwich cookie, an ice cream bar and the brand’s infamous cookie butter (which inspired an incredibly popular Trader Joe’s dupe).
The new Tim Hortons collaboration includes two drinks and two baked goods: a Biscoff Iced Capp, a Biscoff Latte, a Biscoff Boston Cream and a Biscoff Croissant. Team Chatelaine enjoyed all four cozy treats during a snowy Tuesday morning, and found two clear favourites among the four. Here’s the rundown.

The Biscoff Latte features a latte base—espresso blended with steamed milk, as well as brown sugar-flavoured syrup—and it’s finished with sweetened whipped topping and Biscoff cookie crumbs. Unfortunately, the whipped topping doesn’t hold up well on a hot drink, as it's oil-based and quickly melts into a greasy residue. As well, our tasters also found this drink incredibly sweet (which may or may not be your thing, you do you!)

Similar to the latte, the Biscoff Iced Capp features a brown-sugar syrup blended into the Iced Capp base, then the drink is finished with sweetened whipped topping and Biscoff cookie crumbs. However, while the crumbs made for a tasty, textural and not-too-sweet touch, the Iced Capp itself had a subtle (perhaps too subtle) Biscoff flavour. “Not too much to say here,” said one tester. “It tasted like a normal Iced Capp with Biscoff crumbs on top.”
While the Tim Hortons Biscoff beverage options were a mixed bag, the baked goods were another story—our team was split about which was the tastiest.

This treat—featuring Tims’ standard croissant filled with Biscoff Cookie Spread and topped with Biscoff crumbs—proved to be divisive. Some testers found the filling to be too thick and cloying, while another described the treat as tasting “quite nice, like a cinnamon-y almond croissant.”

The basic Boston cream gets a Biscoff glow-up in the form of crumbled Biscoff on top of a Biscoff Cookie Spread glaze—and this simple addition scored big points with our tasting panel. “The crumbled Biscoff gives a great contrast in texture with a crunch,” said one tester, while another noted that "this donut does a good job of keeping things not too sweet.” Above all, testers loved the combination of soft dough, creamy filling and crunchy cookie topping.
So ultimately, it was the Biscoff Boston Cream for the win, followed closely by the Biscoff Croissant—news you can use the next time you need a little treat.
