For eight years running, KitchenAid has launched a new colour of its bestselling stand mixer. We've looked forward to the launch every year, which has included shades such as honey, a warm, '70s inspired orange; beetroot, a deep and robust magenta; and last year's cheerful and comforting butter yellow.
This year, the kitchen appliance brand is shifting gears to a fresher colour: spearmint, a light mint-green hue with a paint finish that's closer to a sandy matte than hi-shine polish. On its own, it's got a sweet retro ice cream shop vibe; paired with orange or brown, it looks ultra-contemporary. Given that this kitchen icon's design has remained basically the same since 1937, this versatility in feel doesn't come as much of a surprise.
"Spearmint invites individuals to be present, promotes a refreshing state of mind, and symbolizes positive growth and renewal, embodying a return to self,” says Chad Ries, KitchenAid's global brand marketing director of small appliances, about the new colour.

Available both on Kitchenaid's web store and through Best Buy Canada, Spearmint will become part of KitchenAid's permanent colour collection. We're looking forward to seeing them out in the world!
