I had my first child when I was 32 years old. And sometimes, on those days when I just feel too drained to parent anymore, I wonder….would I have been a better mom if I was younger? When I was fitter and had more energy to parent? Would having more money, a house, being further along in my career, a.k.a. the things that came along in my 30s, compare to the time and energy I had in my 20s?

This is a lovely fluffy crepe recipe. You can leave the honey out if you want a savory crepe. Kefir is considered the champagne of milk because the dairy bubbles as it ferments. The probiotics in the kefir help to digest the buckwheat.

I have to be honest with you: I am writing this as the scones are in the oven and I don’t yet know if this recipe turned out. A few years ago, my sister and her family sold their house in Toronto and moved to a small town about two and a half hours away. They traded city life for a cheaper house, a laid-back lifestyle and more open spaces for their kids to play in. Since my sister and I are really close, she wants us to move out there too.
