These all-natural product lines are a source of some serious national skincare pride
Creating a simple (translation: ingredients you will recognize), clean (the glass bottle packaging is all recyclable) and beautiful (umm, hello, just look at it) skincare brand for the whole family was Marie Custeau’s mission when she started Énamour in 2014. The curated product line for her, him and baby is derived from all-natural homegrown ingredients and bottled in small batches just outside Montreal. The Starter Kit, $47, Énamour.
Founder, holistic health practitioner and aromatherapist Julie Clark developed this skincare line after struggling with eczema (her eczema balm is the bomb) and allergies. It even includes the forward-thinking Hangover Remedy with peppermint and ginger for post-bachelorette. Full brow serum, $36, Province Apothecary.

She set out to make her own product, and after two years spent consulting, Tran launched her own line of face oils including the cult fave: The Timeless Oil. Blended to promote hydration and boost cellular regeneration, the anti-oxidant rich formula can be added to your go-to beauty products to boost their efficiency or used on its own as a daily moisturizer. The Timeless Oil, $68, Poetic Blend.

Natural-based lipsticks tend to be repeat offenders when it comes to producing a collection of sheer, naturally-toned (read: barely there) hues, but Bite’s latest Amuse Bouche palette of 34 vibrant shades changes all that. The line’s MO is to strictly use food-grade ingredients and rely on edible oils like grape seed, olive, avocado and pomegranate to deliver a smooth, hydrating formula. Bite lipstick in ‘pickled ginger’, $30, Sephora.
With 100% natural ingredients (using organic as much as possible), Consonant’s fuss-free approach to skincare is to work with the body’s natural chemistry. Case in point: their Dealkalizing Deodorant is formulated to balance the pH level of skin, inhibiting the growth of odour-causing bacteria. The fizzing Bath Bombs are also ideal for anyone looking for a natural alternative to bubble bath. Dealkalizing Deodorant, $12, Consonant Skincare.
Sahajan is an organic five-product line based around the principles of Ayurvedic medicine. The line includes a face cream, eye cream, serum, hair oil and body oil. Mattam was chosen to be a part of Sephora’s Accelerate, a program designed to help support and build female-founded beauty start-ups. Protective Face Serum, $70, Protective Face Serum, $70, Sahajan.
