$10, Neutrogena
Remember the little cleansing bar of glycerine facial soap that could…and did? See-through and tangerine-coloured, this pioneer product first made its way into our bathrooms in the late ‘60s, standing out from the crowd with its ph-balancing claims and acne-busting attitude. Well, now we can make room in our shower for its face-saving sister-soap, Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Acne Wash. Like its predecessor, this light foaming cleanser helps prevent future breakouts and won’t leave a residue on your skin or dry it out. But unlike the bar, this facial wash also contains Salicylic Acid to help degunk your pores in a softening and smoothing kind of way, of course. The Neutrogena experts attribute this to a special skin-soothing ingredient that they claim will help prevent irritation and over-drying so that your skin is left clean, residue-free and never oily. Who are we to argue? We know a good product when we see one.
