Easter egg centrepieces

Fresh centrepiece

Prep your table for a family gathering with a whimsical centrepiece. Place vases filled with spring flowers (like tulips and hyacinths) in the centre of a low cake stand, add brightly decorated eggs, then nestle in chrysanthemums pinned to Styrofoam balls.

Modern egg display

Instead of a traditional basket, try displaying your eggs in a simple wooden bowl. Combine everyday brown and white chicken eggs with tiny, speckled quail eggs and colourful dyed and decorated ones. It’s an easy way to show off these natural wonders.

Floral egg ornaments

In our northern climate, sometimes nature isn’t quite in full bloom by Easter. Luckily, bare branches are the perfect backdrop for flower decorations. Pin individual chrysanthemum flowers into Styrofoam eggs and hang them from string. It’s a pretty way to add a touch of spring.
