leftover ingredients, loose ends, cream cheese

Chicken dijonnaise
Whisk cream cheese with chicken broth in a saucepan over medium-high until smooth. Add grainy mustard. Serve over cooked chicken breasts.

Cheesy mash

Use softened cream cheese instead of sour cream or butter in mashed Yukon Gold potatoes.

Rustic spread
Stir cream cheese with sliced black olives and chopped toasted walnuts. Spread on bagels for a breakfast treat or on crackers for a snack.

No-bake cheesecake

Stir 1/2 brick cream cheese with 1/4 cup each extra-smooth ricotta and graham-cracker crumbs, 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. Spoon into dessert glasses. Top with macerated strawberries.
