Chatelaine Triple Tested

Brad Stanton is the former bar and lounge manager at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia’s Hawksworth Restaurant in Vancouver. This old-school sipper is inspired by his take on the 1940s original.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg white

  • 3 tbsp gin

  • 1 tbsp amaretto

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp orange-blossom water*

  • nutmeg

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients except nutmeg to a shaker. Cover and shake for 10 sec. Add a handful of ice and shake vigorously for about 20 sec.

  • Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass and garnish with nutmeg

Make this with one of our favourite Canadian gins.

*Orange blossom water is made by infusing orange blossoms into water. It's carried at well-stocked grocers, including Metro, Farm Boy and Food Basics.
