1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp ground coriander
1 tsp dark sesame oil
350-g pkg extra-firm tofu
In a pie plate, stir soy with coriander and sesame oil. Slice tofu into 1/2-inch- (1-cm-) thick slices. Add tofu to marinade. Turn to evenly coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Oil grill and heat barbecue to medium-high. Place tofu on grill. Barbecue, uncovered, 2 to 3 minutes, then turn. Continue to barbecue until grill marks form, 2 to 3 more minutes. Remove to a cutting board and slice into strips. Toss with your favourite salad.

A meatless barbecue never tasted so good. Be sure to allow time for marinating since tofu soaks up flavour like a sponge.
In a pie plate, stir 1/4 cup (50 mL) barbecue sauce with 1 tsp (5 mL) Indian curry paste. Slice a 350-g pkg extra-firm tofu into 1/2-inch- (1-cm-) thick slices. Add tofu to marinade. Turn to evenly coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Grill as directed above in step 2.
Preheat grilling machine to medium-high. Place tofu on grill. Grill with lid closed until hot and grill marks form, 3 minutes.
