Frozen Strawberry Margarita

This frozen margarita requires minimal hands-on prep time and is the perfect patio quencher.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups halved strawberries

  • 2 cups ice

  • 1/3 cup agave or simple syrup

  • 1/2 cup lime juice

  • 1/3 cup tequila

  • 1/4 cup Cointreau

  • Kosher salt, (optional)

  • Strawberries

  • Limes

Instructions

  • COMBINE strawberries, ice, syrup, lime juice, tequila and Cointreau in a blender. Whirl until smooth. Pour into a shallow casserole or baking dish, then cover with plastic wrap and freeze until slushy, about 2 hours.

  • SERVE in frozen glasses, or wet rims of glasses and dip in kosher salt. Garnish with strawberries and limes.
