Adding a spoonful of jam is an easy way to make a flavour base for a cocktail, and cranberry sauce ticks that same box.

Ingredients

  • 2 orange slices

  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce

  • 3/4 cup gin

  • Ice cubes

  • Ginger ale, chilled

  • Orange twists, for garnish

Instructions

  • Add orange slices and cranberry sauce to a cocktail shaker. Use a muddler to squish them together. Add gin and a handful of ice cubes. Shake to combine. Strain mixture into four tall cocktail glasses filled with fresh ice, and then top with ginger ale. Garnish with orange twists.
