Warm up the holidays with a hot cup of wine. Warm spices like cinnamon, cloves and star anise add festive flavour, with sliced clementines bringing a pop of colour and citrusy kick.
750 mL dry red wine
1/3 cup granulated sugar
10 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 whole star anise
pinch of allspice
sliced clementines, to garnish
HEAT wine with sugar, cloves, cinnamon, star anise and allspice until just warm (don't let it boil). Keep warm in a slow cooker or on the stove. Garnish with clementines.
