These sugared cranberries are the perfect garnish for almost any holiday dessert (but they're pretty good for snacking, too!).
3/4 cup granulated sugar,divided
1/2 cup fresh cranberries
Combine 1⁄2 cup each sugar and water in a saucepan set over medium-high. Heat until sugar dissolves. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
Spread 1⁄4 cup sugar on a plate. Stir cranberries into syrup. Remove with a slotted spoon, letting excess syrup drip off. Roll in sugar to coat.
Place cranberries on a wire rack until sugar hardens, about 30 min. Store in an airtight container at room temperature until ready to use.
