These sugared cranberries are the perfect garnish for almost any holiday dessert (but they're pretty good for snacking, too!).

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar,divided

  • 1/2 cup fresh cranberries

Instructions

  • Combine 1⁄2 cup each sugar and water in a saucepan set over medium-high. Heat until sugar dissolves. Set aside to cool to room temperature.

  • Spread 1⁄4 cup sugar on a plate. Stir cranberries into syrup. Remove with a slotted spoon, letting excess syrup drip off. Roll in sugar to coat.

  • Place cranberries on a wire rack until sugar hardens, about 30 min. Store in an airtight container at room temperature until ready to use.

Use them as a garnish
