Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp dark rum

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 2 tsp ginger syrup, recipe below, or use store-bought

  • 1/2 cup hot tea, such as English Breakfast

Instructions

  • COMBINE rum with lemon juice and ginger syrup in a glass mug. Pour in hot tea. Serve immediately.

How to make ginger syrup

Combine 1 cup sugar with 1/4 cup sliced ginger and 1 cup water in a small saucepan set over medium. Simmer for 2 min, then remove from heat. Let syrup cool, then strain and refrigerate until ready to use.
