Tools and Supplies:

• 1 blank canvas
• 2 contrasting or complimentary paint colours
• 1 sheet of milar
• Utility knife
• Stencil
• Paint tray
• Adhesive
• Marker

Instructions:

1. Paint the front and sides of the blank canvas entirely (use three coats of paint).

Tip: To get even coverage, paint one coat in one direction and the next coat in the other direction.

2. Outline the stencil on the milar sheet using the marker.

3. Place a cutting board underneath the milar and cut out the stencil using a utility knife.

Tip: Pick a simple design because the smaller and more intricate designs will be harder to cut out.

4. Spray adhesive onto the stencil and place it on the canvas.

5. Begin painting.

Tips:
Use a brush instead of a roller for even coverage.
Old paint tends to get thick so mix a small amount of paint thinner in it.
The higher the contrast in paint colours the more coats you will need.

6. Peel the stencil off once the paint is dry.

7. Your project is now complete.
