Kate Middleton's gold-medal sportswear style

You wouldn't think a white polo shirt could cause so much fuss. But never underestimate the power of Kate Middleton's style.

Kate, William and Harry were in the spotlight yesterday as the Olympic torch was passed in front of Buckingham Palace, one day before the opening ceremonies. The torchbearers were actually chosen by them - both the couple and Prince Harry nominated someone from their charities.

But it was the Olympic style that's causing some buzz in London. The royals (all official Olympic Ambassadors) donned the Adidas Team GB polos. And Kate accessorized her simple white top with less-than-sporty pieces: super-skinny electric blue jeans - rumour has it, they're from Zara - and navy Stuart Weitzman cork wedges.

Feeling inspired? Canada has a remarkably similar shirt for 2012. Although, of course, we recommend pairing them with patriotic red jeans.
