Photographer Irina Werning has always been fascinated by old photos. It's not the retro look that she's drawn to; instead, she always wonders how people would look (and feel) if they were to re-enact the photographs today. She found out with her Back to the Future series. The subjects dress in outfits similar to those in their original snapshots, return to the same location (or she creates a similar-looking backdrop) and even replicate their facial expressions, to mesmerizing effect. It's a beguiling, often comical look at how we transform over time. Can't get enough? See more at IrinaWerning.com.
