At just seven hours old, the Prince of Cambridge has made his royal debut. Nestled in the arms of his mom, the Duchess of Cambridge, the royal baby looked quite comfy in a knit blanket and hat.

He was fast asleep for his big moment, but he was sweetly playing with his fingers and looked to be giving a wave to the public. Kate was clearly worried about him catching a chill as she tucked the blanket around his teeny fingers.
Kate was beaming and looked amazing in a custom red Jenny Packham dress with a white Peter Pan-style collar. She has chosen Jenny Packham for all three of the royal births. For Prince George she wore a sky blue polka dot dress and for Princess Charlotte she wore a buttercup yellow and white floral dress.
After the quick photocall, the couple went back inside the hospital to put the baby in his car seat before coming out hand in hand. William put the baby in the backseat like the pro dad he is, though he joked with reporters that he has “thrice the worry now!” Kate climbed in the backseat and then William drove his family home to Kensington Palace.

The little prince met his big brother and sister earlier in the day, but will get snuggles and kisses from them at home. He will get lots of visitors over the coming days, including a visit from the Queen.
Now, what about a name. When someone asked, William said “You’ll find it out later.” William and Kate usually announce it two days after the baby’s birth. But the top contenders are Arthur or Albert.
The royal baby made his public debuted nestled in the arms of his mom.

Like with George and Charlotte’s birth, Kate chose a Jenny Packham dress for her son’s royal debut. And she looked gorgeous. How does she do it? The royal baby was wrapped in a blanket by GH Hurt and Son Ltd.

Look at those cheeks! All the Cambridge babies have adorable chubby cheeks and so does this little guy.

The royal baby slept through most of his big debut, but he did get upset for a moment, but the Duchess quickly soothed him.

The couple waved to the crowds and you could see the baby’s tiny fingers peeking out as if he was giving his first royal wave.

Kate was every inch the proud mum, smiling at her baby boy. And look at his sweet little fingers

Sorry, we are just suckers for baby fingers.

The little prince kept reaching his fingers out of his blanket, so Kate was quick to tuck the blanket around them so he wouldn’t catch a chill.

Even though they are in front of the world’s media, Kate and William managed to steal a private moment as they marvelled over their son.

The Duchess stopped to have a little chat with her new baby. Is this not the sweetest moment?

The proud parents couldn’t help but beam at each other!

After the photocall, William and Kate went back into the hospital to put their son in his car seat. Then hand-in-hand they left the hospital to make the 10-minute drive back to Kensington Palace.

As Prince William carried the baby to the car and put him in, he joked that he has “thrice the worries now!”

The wee royal baby looks quite like his big brother Prince George.

The little prince is actually the biggest Cambridge baby weighing in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces. William and Kate have picked a name, but the new dad told reporters we have to wait to find out what it is!

Earlier in the day, Prince William quickly ran home to Kenington Palace to bring Prince George and Princess Charlotte to the hospital to meet their brother.

George was a bit unsure of all the media and mostly stared at the ground with a sly smirk on his face.

But Charlotte loved the attention and waved to the crowds of people.

She even gave one quick final wave before heading in to meet her new brother.
