Celebrity Couples That Have Broken Up In 2017

Hudson and her partner of almost 10 years have reportedly called it quits. The singer and Oscar-winning actress also received a protective order against Otunga. In a statement to People, a rep for the singer wrote: “They have been in the process of ending their relationship for a number of months. Today, Jennifer requested and received a protective order against her ex-fiancé. Jennifer’s actions are solely taken in the best interest of their son.” While the reasoning for the protective order is unclear, Otunga’s attorney, Tracy M. Rizzo, released his own statement to the publication. “Mr. Otunga has never abused or harassed Ms. Hudson or their son, and it is unfortunate, especially in today’s climate, that she would feel the need to make these false allegations against him. Mr. Otunga looks forward to his day in court and in being awarded the residential care of the parties’ only child,” it reads. Hudson and Otunga had been engaged since 2008 and share a son, 8-year-old David Daniel Otunga Jr.

Us Weekly reports that this longtime couple has split for good. The sad news comes after nearly ten years, one broken engagement (and reconciliation) in 2010, and a three-year-old daughter, Briar Rose, together. 

After eight years of marriage and one child (4-year-old Axl), Fergie and Josh Duhamel separated in early 2017, news they shared in a statement with People. “With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year. To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public,” the statement reads. “We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”

They shared the news with fans on Facebook in a joint statement that read: “Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating.
