Let's talk about food
Do you love it as much as we do?

My first editing job was with a tourism magazine that recommended shops, attractions and restaurants to eager Toronto visitors. I wasn’t the resident food critic, but I often got to tag along with her for lunch reviews. I remember scallops sautéed to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth pillows of ricotta-stuffed ravioli, and to-die-for chocolate desserts. Sampling some of the best food in the city was heaven.

This month Chatelaine associate editor Jaqueline Hennessy shares her thoughts on the good stuff in the Joy of eating, the second story in our Happiness series. A self-professed no-guilt foodie, she takes us on the journey that led to her healthy relationship with food. Find out where your eating habits fall in line with our What kind of eater are you? quiz. Then chat with nutritionist Sue Boegman about improving your dining ways. An expert in disordered eating, she stops by our Special guest forum March 18, noon to 1 p.m. ET.

Finally, to round out the food theme, we bring you Cross-Canada foodie vacations, this month’s 75 Gifts bonus. Seasoned travellers Anita Draycott and Kate Pocock deliver the goods on cooking schools, country inns and cities that serve up some of the best food this country has to offer.

Bon appetit!
