Painted plates

Not only is Mississauga-native Jacqueline Poirier well-known in the underground art scene, participating in live painting competitions, but she’s also the resident artist for the Ritz Carlton in Toronto. It’s no wonder: her urban-chic decorative plates are a mix of Canadiana — check out the hockey player and Toronto streetcar plates — and cool eclectic pop art.

$100, Jacqueline Poirier.
