1. Ginger root tea
“For inflammation, digestive distress, muscle soreness or when you’re feeling sick: fill a pot with water and add chopped fresh ginger root. Heat to a boil and leave boiling for 5 minutes. Drink plain or add honey and lemon. Will keep in the fridge for reheating.”
2. Rosemary tea
“For sore joints: Pour freshly boiled water over a sprig of fresh rosemary. Cover and steep for 10 minutes. Drink once a day.”
3. Eat your veggies!
“For overall health: Eat a lot of vegetables. It’s the one thing nutrition experts seem to be able to agree on.”
4. Cut out sugar
“Especially if you have an injury, avoid white sugar: It’s an inflammatory.”
5. Pack in protein
“Have protein at every meal, especially at breakfast. It will cut down on sugar cravings later in the day.”
