Take a peek inside our 85th anniversary collector's edition

As part of our 85th-anniversary celebration, we combed through our archives and beyond, looking for milestones, significant and trivial, that have marked the history of the world, our nation and Canadian women in particular.

As part of our 85th-anniversary celebration, we combed through our archives and beyond, looking for milestones, significant and trivial, that have marked the history of the world, our nation and Canadian women in particular.

Imagine stacks of magazines piled everywhere — and our gasps of awe as we flipped through the decades. The covers ranged from glam to silly and sensational to serious (BTW, Prince Charles has graced our cover more than five times!). There was no way for us to choose just one for our cover, so we picked eight (four flip covers)! Which one is your favourite?
