We’ve reached that time of year. You know, the time when news organizations start putting together their lists—top flicks of the year, the most-talked about news stories of the year, controversial newsmakers of the year and more.

To the wedding naysayers, move along — there's nothing for you to see here. But for those who took in yesterday's royal event, here are my seven favourite moments from Will and Kate's fairy tale wedding.

If Princess Diana hadn’t died in that tragic car accident in 1997, where would she be now and more importantly, who would she be? That’s the question Newsweek is asking this week to mark what would have been the late Princess’s 50th birthday on July 1.

The royal wedding invitations are in the post, palace reps have confirmed. Nothing in my mailbox this morning but a pizza flyer and Visa bill, but I haven’t given up hope. Apparently there are around 1800 lucky guests on the list – among them most of the British aristocracy, European royals, various heads of state and possibly Elton John – but I’m still hoping there might be a pew in Westminster Abbey with my name on it.
