On Mother’s Day, I decided to host my first lunch party at my house. This is because I felt like being a “good” daughter, my mother deserves it, and my brothers weren’t stepping up to the plate. I was scared out of my mind.

I recently set out to make the most complicated meal in my culinary adventures. I would be lying if I claimed it was extravagant, but it certainly was a challenge.

Over the long weekend I hosted one of my closest friend's bachelorette party at my cottage in the Lake of Bays community in Muskoka. The clear blue skies and cool lakefront breeze was the perfect summer weather.
