I have been pondering the idea of comfy spring/summer shoes for the past little while. With the nice weather, I can't help but brave the long distance trek home from work in the great outdoors. But with a sore knee and not-so-supportive flats I'm wreaking havoc on my body. I'm not quite ready to resort to the running shoe with dress look that my physiotherapist recommended - though I'm sure it would be much more comfortable.
And so my sights have fallen upon Tom's. I've been meaning to get a pair for years and now I have some incentive. Not only are they comfortable, light and made in canvas and rubber with a leather insole but they also have arch support! Finally.
Go for natural canvas shades from yellow to grey, try watercolours or for those who love a little sparkle, try out the Glitters in gold and silver.
Tom's also has a charitable component - the reason the brand was actually started. The company gives a pair of new shoes to a child in need every time you purchase a pair for yourself so you're contributing to fundraising and sustainable living in developing nations.
Check out their site to find your favourite style and find them at boutiques nationwide. Oh and did I mention they are all under $100? Most styles are from around $45 to $65 so they won't break the bank.
