TIFF + swag = fun

Even if you live nowhere near Toronto, you've probably heard about this little thing called the Toronto International Film Festival. This lovely festival brings in stars from around the world as well as celebrity gawkers galore. But because we aren't exactly BFF's with Brad Pitt, sometimes it's hard to get an inside look at the life of a celeb... Lucky for us, Chatelaine's web editor Jen O'Brien and myself got to check out what the secret swag the stars will be given this year. And we thought we'd share some of our favourites with you all. At the Bask-It-Style press day at the Toronto Cosmopolitan Hotel celebs were gifted such fancy items as: Sula Paint & Peel Nail Polish I think this concept is awesome. Remember the polishes you had when you were a kid that just peeled right off in one big rubbery sheet? That's how these puppies work. (I sometimes liked to put it on just to peel it off but that's just me.) They come in a variety of colours, are free of formaldehyde, toluene, and phthlalates, and the best part? No nail polish remover needed. Love it. For superstars who are going from one premiere to the next, they can change their nail colours in a snap.    Also,  I'm sure the celebs were loving the Arriva Travel-Tec SCT socks. While not exactly sexy,  these are great to wear under high-heeled boots and especially for those jet-setting celebs who are always travelling or running around. And you don't need to be pregnant or have diabetes  to wear these. One fashion editor once told me she wears them with high-heels (in the winter of course) to keep her feet from swelling. And if you're on your feet all day, no one needs to know what's underneath your boots.  Practical and yet great for travelling celebs. More fun TIFF swag to come. –Kate Daley
