The top three summer nail polish colours

Lets face it, ladies. . . We love our nail polish. From super-soft neutrals and pretty pastels to daring darks and racy reds, there are so many chic colours that can take your nails from demure to sexy in seconds. If I had my way (and my own personal manicurist. . . What, a girl can dream) I would be switching up my polish shade faster than you could say “sweetheart.”

But alas, with so many colours to choose from, this at-home manicure mavin often wonders what are the must-have shades I should be stocking in my personal collection that will keep my nails looking haute for any occasion.

I caught up with the queen of colour, Essie Weingarten (founder of polish empire Essie), who gave me the top three colours every girl should keep on hand:
