Everyone has a memory association with
The Body Shop. Myself and some of the beauty editors were discussing this as we trudged our way to a party marking their 30th anniversary in Canada. Mine is Dewberry perfume and a car ride in France. Others can mark the years of their life by the scents - Oceana, Satsuma, and the list continues. The Body Shop has a lot to celebrate. They've launched successful campaigns to StopTrafficking of Children & Young People supporting both the Somaly Mam Foundation internationally and Beyond Borders (ECPAT). They have also launched organic lines and use community trade ingredients from all over the world. Started in 1976 by Dame Anita Roddick in Brighton, UK, The Body Shop is now in more than 60 countries. “Our heritage is rich and our future is bright! We are proud to be celebrating 30 years of ethical retailing in Canada and we look forward to the next 30 years! Thank you Canada for continuing our journey with us!” says Christophe Mura, General Manager for The Body Shop Canada. At the event, singer
Jully Black sang for an intimate crowd and can I tell you that woman has pipes. She was also stunning. Consider me a converted fan of hers and of course The Body Shop. Happy anniversary! – Kate Daley
